Essential Oils: My Healing Story

For centuries, oils were used for their abundance of healing and medicinal properties. Even better, these aren’t man-made pharmaceuticals—they’re from the creator himself.

I began my health journey with oils utilizing the neat method—placing 1 drop Frankincense on the bottom of my foot and 1 drop Myrrh on the stomach.

I did this for nearly 9 months. It took time for these oils to provide healing—again, they’re not an instant pill—but they sure helped. I still remember my sister-in-law saying… “it takes time.” Why would she have to re-iterate this to me you might say? Because after only 1 week and not seeing healing, I was becoming disheartened.

But I continued. After 2 months faithfully following this regiment (and on no other medicine) I was able to drive a car more than 5 minutes down the road. I became functional with my son and husband. By September 2019, I could attend a family wedding several hours away in Philadelphia. Even though I wasn’t fully healed, I was so much better that I was prior to starting the regiment.

Oils For My Son

As time went on, I began using the oils for my son who had intermittent sleep troubles. I started by using 1 drop of peace and calming and 1 drop of lavender at night on the bottom of his feet. The oils significantly helped ease him into sleep and helped him stay asleep for over 9 hours a night. He was waking up feeling rested and this was a mommy win!

How to Purchase Young Living Oils

Technically, I am able to sell these oils. I haven’t shared that tidbit with many people outside my inner circle until now. Partly because I wanted to make sure these oils were the real deal. After 2.5 years of personal, family, and friend use, I can say with absolute assurance that these oils work as good as pharmaceutical drugs (and often better) and have substantially less side effects—it just takes longer.

I am so thankful for the nudge to try them and obedience in prayer, knowing just how wonderful they have been for all of us.

In case you’re a skeptic—it’s okay, I was once too—mainstream science and reputable sources are beginning to see the power of essential oils and their benefits.

Johns Hopkins has published a recent study on oils and Lyme Treatment. Of great note, oils studied eradicate the spirochetes causing Lyme. I fervently pray that thousands of people who have spent their life savings to be healed from Lyme and sadly are not, can find the truth about how miraculous these oils are.

Further, Johns Hopkins started a new Lyme research center—I’m hoping we continue to see other institutions take Lyme much more seriously and a cure and/or preventative options are discovered soon.

Further, it should be known that grocery store oils are not the same quality. In fact, I learned the hard way about organic oils at a grocery store verses distilled and therapeutic grade Young Living (YL) oils.

In the winter of 2019, I had a case of bronchitis and didn’t want to slam my system with antibiotics, especially since most are viral based according to Mayo Clinic. My husband rushed to purchase the best oil he could find at our local Wegmans. I used it for 5 days. It did not work! My family member then had Young Living version and sent it to me. Within 3 days I felt significantly better.

More Oils In Regular Rotation

  • Oregano — Use as needed for colds and viruses. For me, it shortens their duration and intensity.

  • Clove — Currently using daily, belongs to the same family as Cinnamon with similar healing properties.

  • Cinnamon Bark — A family member is currently using this based on the recent Johns Hopkins Study regarding its ability to kill spirochetes causing Lyme disease. So far, although powerful, it has reduce their symptoms.

  • Digize — Currently using on an as needed basis. 1-2 drops straight on the stomach to ease digestion, bloating, upset stomach, and even viral stomach bugs.

  • Geranium — Great as a perfume and sweet smelling aroma and I highly recommend Geranium for this use. Also freshens bed linens and is a nice smell in a diffuser.

  • Joy — Similar to Geranium but a blend, also great as a perfume.
