Taking the Next Step with God

A good reminder this morning from the Charles Stanley kids devotional.

He will show us all the next step as we obey and listen. Thankful for our prayer hearing, prayer answering, always on time, mighty God!

Have you ever tried to walk through a dark room? You have to move carefully, one step at a time, so you don’t stumble and fall. Sometimes life can be like a dark room—filled with choices, troubles, and struggles. You have to move carefully so you don’t stumble and fall. The good news is that God is there to guide you through the darkness, one step at a time.

It may seem like others already have all the answers, or their path isn’t as dark or as hard as yours. Don’t let that worry or upset you. God gives each person just the right path to follow—to shape them into the person He created them to be.

So trust Him. Follow Him. Obey Him when He shows you the next step to take. He’ll bring you safely through the darkness and fill your life with His beautiful light (Ephesians 3:20).

Father, thank You for guiding me through dark times. Help me to shine with Your light, amen.

Looking back, I would have never have realized how important this would be at the beginning of the pandemic. Who would have thought that two years later, we’d still be here, needing to remind ourselves to trust Him—even in the darkness.
