About the Barbie Movie… Watch It!

I loved the Barbie movie for several reasons…

First and foremost, I thought that the movie's intention to deal with real life and real feelings was terrific, and one of the most beautiful things about life is that God created us and made us with the intention of feelings.

So, as Barbie deals with thoughts of death and depression, you come face to face with what it means to be human. In other words, being human means having dark thoughts sometimes and knowing God is more significant than complex thoughts or down days.

In the end, Barbie chooses to feel all the feelings, the good, bad, and incredibly joyful moments in life and all the in-between.

Barbie is the movie that you need to give a chance. If it seems superficial, sit down and watch the movie.

The patriarchy described will mimic the society we live in today in the Western world or the United States. As a woman, you will see yourself in this movie because we’ve all experienced some darkness and thoughts, so for Barbie to wake up to feeling weird feelings is a nod to all of us who have sometimes felt hard things. Every single human being knows sadness and joy. God created us to feel so many things, including grief.

Overall, you owe it to yourself to watch Barbie and understand the emotional depths we can go to as women, and we still can live joyful lives.
