Hope for Today

Dear One,

Stand firm in the Holy Spirit!

"Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil."

Ephesians 6:11

He who called you will guide your steps, keep you safe, and clear a path forward for you.

Seek God’s Kingdom and do not let those who do not seek the Lord’s will sway you from your calling or approach! In other words, pray for those who oppose God’s word and His kingdom and remember they are made in the image of God as well - imago Dei. Each person is uniquely beautiful and special to our Lord and Savior.

"Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."

Ephesians 6:13

"But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world."

1 Peter 5:9

Remember dear ones that God rules over all evil and spirits and spiritual practices. A hard truth that should grieve our hearts… Let others who may carry a spirit of rejection be held responsible to God as you carry out your calling. In other words, “You will know them by their fruits.” For example, if the root of a tree is rotten you stay away. The same is true with a person. Pray for someone with bad fruit, bad words, a haughty mouth, or anger. Ultimately, we will all deal with anger in our lives and when we do, we would be wise to repent and seek the Lord’s forgiveness and healing.

Philippians 4:1
"Therefore, my beloved brethren whom I long to see, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, my beloved."

Are you looking for helpful tips to understand a person’s fruit? This is not an exhaustive list.

You can ask God in prayer, is the fruit of the tree of the one you are loving good fruit and profitable for building others up? Here is a test to see how a person’s fruits are:

  • Does the person proclaim beauty and hope in the Lord? Or is their tongue full of bitterness, critical, and strife?

  • Is the person kind and loving in their speech about themselves and others?

  • Is the person putting their hope in themselves and their abilities rather than God?

1 Corinthians 15:58
"Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord."

This is a shortlist of barometer-type questions to help you discern a person bearing good fruit.

Stand firm, dear one. God is faithful!

Xoxo
